NAME: Laurence LT DATE: 11/9/07
TITLE: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire TIME: 2 HOURS 5 MINUTES
AUTHOR: J.K. Rowling PAGES PG.39-PG.95
TOTAL PAGES THIS WEEK: 56 PGS

RESPONSE:

I read 56 pages this week and it is starting to be a story. Harry's friend Ron and his family came to Harry's house, but not in an ordinary way. They used magic to get into his chimney, but to bad for them, Harry's uncle barricaded it with wood. so they got stuck in the chimney. So they started to bang on the wood to get in Harry's house. So then it didn't work, so they used magic on it and it opened. So they all had a nice dinner and they brought Harry to their (Ron's family) house. They took him to their house because they were going to take him and Hermione to the Quidditch word cup. Then when Harry got there, he saw Hermione and the rest of Ron's family that didn't come to the dinner. So they slept over, Hermione and Ginny (Ron's sister) in one room, and Harry and Ron in the other room. The rest of the family had their own rooms. Then the next day they started to go to the Quidditch World Cup. But first they went to a hill that had a shoe on top of it. The shoe was actually a portkey, which is a type of portal that leads you to a certain place. So they got to the place where the Quidditch World Cup was being held. They got there a day before it started so that they can sleep and hang out there. So they hung out and started to play around in the place. They also started to gamble even though they know that they weren't allowed to gamble. So they spent the day there until the Quidditch World Cup.

I wish i could play Qudditch that would be cool. Gambling is bad but it depends what you do.

Your first sentence in your response made me laugh. :)
"I read 56 pages this week and it is starting to be a story." I think it's funny because sometimes it does happen in books besides Lord of the Rings.
