1. When i heard David's speech I cried. It was very sad and was very good. I was crying because I was mad and sad at the same time. I loved his story and loved that speech. It was very hard to get through for lots of people, him mostly.

2. David had a good time with the Russian Partisans and was very happy about helping them stop the Nazi's in a way. Also he made friends and was very mad when the Nazi's burned them. I think his brother was proud because he was doing a good job trying to stop the Germans. Also because Romek did something to try to stop them too.

3. I think that he let David go because he was too young and knew he didn't know anything about what they were talking about. Also because he thought that he would die from staying in the ghetto. Also because they thought that he had a family and wanted him to die with them. Maybe they even thought that he wanted to live to tell family about what happened.
