Romek Final Post

1) The most disturbing part of the book is when the Nazis were trying to inflict pain and kill Romek because he had a lot of pain and just wouldn't die. Also because when they burned his eye, it was really disturbing. It was so disturbing that I saw it in my mind for that whole day. Also because it is very hard for Romek.

2) He had the job of feeding the dogs. This helped him survive by having an easier job than the others. He can avoid working really hard and coming tried as heck coming back. He could eat and work which helped him stay alive and avoid the Nazis.

3) He got sick and started to die but was still alive. In this camp, it was hard for him to stay alive but he made it because the war was coming to an end. This helped him believe that he can stay alive and will survive. He got sick and when it was over, was taken to the hospital. He was getting weaker at this camp because he had to work to get his food.

4) When David met his sister's husband, he felt pride that he survived and gets to see his sister. He feels like he can survive most things in the world since he survived this. This helps him realize that he has a whole other life in front of him. He survived and wants to tell the world the horrors of the Holocaust.

5) David Faber's book, Because of Romek, should be required reading in all middle schools, high schools, and universities because all students need to learn about the horrors of the Holocaust. This is because the Holocaust was a very bad time for every body. This book shows what has happened in the holocaust and what they did about it. This helps the world see what horrors in the Holocaust can happen now. This book shows what the Holocaust was and how it affected us today. This book can show us that it can happen again. This book can keep us from having another Holocaust. This book shows us that we are the future of the world.
